Film Commission Torino Piemonte has featured Prompt2Screen in its news section ahead of our first edition at Blox Space in Torino on 10 October 2026. Published on 9 October, the Film Commission article introduces the event to the region’s audiovisual community and highlights its Automotive Stories theme.
For Prompt2Screen, the premise is concrete: bring 40 selected Italian and European creators together, give them a shared creative challenge, and take new audiovisual work from an idea to a public screen in one day. VIA AI Group organises the event as an official Italian Tech Week side event. This is a preview of the edition, not a report of completed films or attendance.
Automotive Stories: a brief rooted in Torino
An automotive theme gives this edition a connection to the city around it. Automotive Stories puts movement, design and industrial culture into the creative brief. It also leaves room for personal stories: a journey, a relationship inside a car, or the meaning someone attaches to an object.
Those are possible creative directions, not the competition categories. The actual categories will be revealed at the event. The challenge is to turn an idea into a short film, commercial or visual piece that communicates something to an audience. A striking generated image can start that process; the sequence, rhythm and sound still need deliberate choices.
The Film Commission’s coverage draws attention to the opportunity for local audiovisual professionals to meet creators working with these methods. For production companies, post-production teams and educators in Piemonte, a screening offers a concrete starting point for discussion: what was made, which decisions shaped it, and what would need further development.
A working day, followed by a public conversation
